We operate from two permanent community centres in KwaNyuswa and Hammarsdale. These centres are created from converted shipping containers to make use of a recycled resource KZN has easy access to, as well as ensuring a safe and durable venue for our community outreach programs.
Initially, our main focus areas were KwaNyuswa and Bothas Hill, however, we have since created a strong foothold in the Hammarsdale community where we opened our first permanent venue.
We run a multitude of social development programs from this venue, and the centre is fitted with a cinema for screening of our educational tutorials.
The construction of this centre was sponsored by City Logistics in 2018.
Shap Shap was founded in the KwaNyuswa community. Our programs were first run out of creches, orphanages and town halls. We are extremely excited to have also established a community centre in this area, from which we can run our programs.
This centre, which is located next to the Qadi Hall, is being used to run our Support Groups, HIV testing services, health days and a feeding scheme.
